The Johnson Adult Day CenterIn the 1980s, Swedish Hospital and the foundation supporting its community programs founded the first day-time program for people living with Alzheimer’s disease in the Denver area. In 1996, the Francis K. Johnson Center was built to house the growing program. For more than 10 years, The Johnson Center, specifically designed for those with dementia, has been setting the standard for activity-based, client-centered care and support for adults with a range of health challenges, including Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s disease, or the after-effects of stroke.

The Johnson Center enjoys more than 14,000 participant visits annually and tallies 200 daytrips.
